I repressurised the boiler today by opening both valve taps and when it was done turned the valves off. But now it's started leaking from two separate points. What have I done and how do I fix??? Cheers.

What pressure did you run it up to?

What pressure did you run it up to?
Question Author
About 1.25, just inside the green triangle.
Ok, that should be alright. Maybe the pressure relief valve is weeping.......
Al BoilerBags is around ............. he'll have a good idea of the problem.......
Hang around :o)

It's leaking from the hot water outlet pipe and where the filling loop valve meets the cold mains inlet.
It should not leak anywhere up past 3 bar.
You will have to explain where exactly it is leaking from ..!
You have a filling mains loop somewhere on the rising main supply to the boiler?

I have a CB24/28 manual to look at.
Filling loop to mains leak ... I expect you twisted slightly filling it. It's a compression joint .. right? Turn off house mains and re-tighten it (slacken and retighten)

'Hot water outlet pipe' .. ....
Yes .. TB ... Just happen to be here .. as just ordering range oven parts from Partmaster!
Question Author
It's dripping from the hot water outlet pipe actually onto the loop filling valve and then where the valve meets the cold inlet pipe

They're not left hand threads are they?? On the hot pipe it's leaking out of a joint to.
So that's a connection leaking?
Compression fitting or at a component?

Problem is .. I think you can (as usual) stick the filling loop in where you like .. so you cannot look in manual to locate it)
There are some on/off valves incorporated in mains in, heating flow, return and gas.
Is the fill loop fitted before the mains inlet valve?
No LH threads anywhere.
Fill loop connectors are a bit like isolating ball-valves. Metal body, olive and steel nut. They can leak and need a re-tighten if disturbed : )
Over-pressure to 2 1/2bar on the gauge to test .. then either bleed radiators or dump off excess pressure with the relief valve (usually rotates) to 1bar max cold (or 1.2-1.4 hot)

I'll try thanks
