Small wall

Want to paint it three colours, vertical stripes, one stripe being thinner.....

Is it best to use masking tape?
How do i make sure paint dosent peel off when i peel the masking off?
And do i wait till its dry?

It dosent need to be precise widths as its a shabby effect xx

Use low tack masking tape to prevent it grabbing.
When I've seen it done on TV they use masking tape - think it's meant to be used on paint. I would wait for each bit to be dry, it might bleed otherwise (if it's a small wall and it doesn't look so good, you could always paint over it).
I've done it before with masking tape and taken it off before its totally dry. Worked well.

It used to be a 2door built in mirrored wardrobe...but i removed doors/pole and divider and theres just a shelf with my tv mounted on wall....so pretty small and only painting upto shelf height!

All room is white so doing "candy colours"... Shabby effect so if its not precise its ok...but still wanna do a good job...i think i could do two colours at once and when they dry do the last skinny one inbetween? Xx

Dave that would be amaze lol x
Hi, instead of buying the low tack masking tape that is what the big DIY chains will say is for the job, just buy the really cheap stuff from a shop like poundland or similar. It sticks just enough to do the job and won't pull off any paint from the walls at about a quarter of the price.
You need to buy a tin of striped paint, it's useful stuff.
get 'low tack ' tape not so sticky
