Should the light keep going off during cooking time?

My wife has one, and she says yes, it's quite OK. The heat increases to what you set it on, then when that temperature is reached, the light goes out to indicate that the cooker has switched off temporarily. When the heat drops, the cooker switches itself on again, and the indicator light comes on again.
Yep that's perfectly normal
