Weird phonecall

I just had a very strange phone call, it was a man who said he was "from a leading bra supplier" and had I got time to answer a few questions. I wonder if he was genuine or it was some sort of pervert getting his jollies? :)

Her O/H bought her a very loud whistle to keep by the phone to blast his ears in case he came back on again.

These responses remind me of lady I know who didn't at first know what kind of call she was taking and politely asked the crank on the other end if he would mind holding on until she turned the volume down on the television so that she could hear him more clearly. Her husband regaled all his friends with this story for a very long time.
This reminds me of a lady I know who answered the phone one evening not knowing that it was a crank call - she politley asked the caller to hold on while she turned the volume down on the television - so that she could hear the caller properly. Her husband regaled his mates with the story for some time afterwards.
I had a series of obscene calls a few years back. I always thought I'd find one funny if I ever got one, but it really really wasn't. The guy knew my name and where I lived, it was really horrid actually. I got the police involved & when I had to make a statement repeatign what the perv had said, my lordy that was embarrassing.....;-)
I believe genuine survey companies have to introduce their company and give their credentials first even if they can't give out the name of the business they're doing the survey for.
Many years ago I had a woman call at the door, she was carrying out a survey for a bra company and asked my size. When I told her what it was she asked if I would try a bra for a month and then give my opinion of it, it would then be mine to keep. As I was at the time a stay at home mum I readily agreed and gained myself a new bra that I later saw retailing at £46.

I had a guy ring me about track suits we talked for 15 minutes I would say, about whether I wore tracksuits what type what colour and make and if I tuck the bottom ankle part of the pants into my socks showing people my socks. I told him no I don't tuck them in but he just kept asking the question all different ways. But I still said no. I twigged that this was a chav way to dress so I stuck to my guns and said no. He was either a chav perv or he was being paid to try and convert people to chav ways.
