New sim card

Can you walk into a phone shop ( orange in this case) and ask for a replacement sim to take away if you say you have lost it?

I have just bought a new phone and it has a micro sim whereas my sim now is normal size so I was planning on trimming it so it fits the new phone.
So if I mess it up I was hoping to get a replacement or obviously, even better for orange to give me a micro sim card to take away.
