Hi,

I was wondering if my partner can get a british passport, she is Hungarian, and had lived / worked here for about 5 years now, I am British, we are not married but we do have two children that have British passports after me aged 3 and 1.

Thanks

i don't think so as she is not british
From that link the info you've given suggests she will in all probability meet the requirements for a passport.

As Hungary is a member of the EU it makes no diffrence if she has a British passport or keeps her Hungarian one. Both give full rights to live and work anywhere in the EU.
I may be missing something but I thought any citizen of an EU state can live work and travel any where in the EU regardless of what state issued their passport, if the 'Eurocrats ' get their way we will all be on EU passports soon anyway.
I thought perhaps her Hungarian passport was due to expire.
If the Hungarian passport is due to expire it can be renewed here in the UK by applying to the Hungarian Embassy / Consulate . A lot easier than getting a UK passport.
She could apply for settled status on the basis of the length of time she has been here and your relationship. Its expensive though and after that she could apply for citizenship in order to get a passport, but as has been said, as an EU citizen, but much to gain.
Richard1966 do you mean ''Not much to gain?''
