on ebay how do you stop an item from being bid on

if say you put an item on and its nowhere near the price you want how do you stop the auction and is there a time when it has to be withdrawn. hope you can help

You should have put a reserve price on it. I suppose you could bid yourself and pay the fees.

Next time put a reserve on it and not stick it on for 99p. If you want it to sell for x amount put it on for that amount as a BIN or start it at x amount

This happened to a friend of mine, she had to sell a good pair of shoes for £2 when she wanted £15. If you want £15 and the item is worth it, make that your starting price.

I am with nibble. Never put an item on with a starting price of less than you are willing to accept. Otherwise the poor bidders will want your goods at that price and be disappointed if you withdraw the item. I dont like reserves as the bidder is then in the dark as to what you will take.

People will be disappointed if you end a sale early and they have already bid on it - it's not a good way to build up a good eBay reputation.

Sign in to ebay and search for... " end my listing early form"...
I don't need to tell you to set your starting price at the right level. Or to set a reserve.
Whatever happens, you will still be responsible for listing fees.
