Glastonbury/Orange Mobile Users
It was widely advertised on the news yesterday that Orange mobile users were to be offered Glastonbury tickets from 9.30 this morning. I phoned my son who is desparate for a Glasto ticket as I have an orange mobile, but he couldn't find out anything about it on the Orange website. Does anyone on the site know anything about this?
I am putting this on the music section as well, as I'm not sure where to post it.

There is a link to the Glastonbury section direct from the orange.co.uk home page. Here is that link:

Now there's a bench mark. I didn't think it would ever be possible for a corporate purchase of the Glastonbury tickets to be made, then be offered as part of a promotion. Next we'll have luxury marquees, champagne and all the usual trimmings of corporate hospitality, attended by people who want to be 'seen' rather than being interested in the event for its own sake. Didn't there used to be a rationing of tickets?
Well, hypothetically speaking I suppose lots of people at any company could be primed to each get two tickets in their own names, but really they would be for and on behalf of the company (who would make sure employees couldn't go themselves). Two tickets per person used to be the rule ...but there's always some way round rules. However I cannot imagine that a big company like Orange would be party to that sort of thing. There's no doubt about the offer on the Orange website rinkytink showed us, though..
