Thought I would do all bedding and towels this morning in my new WM. The instructions are a bit difficult to understand for times etc. So I put it on boil wash and it took 2 hours !! Is this normal, my old WM took 1 hour

All depends on the temp and programme. My new Miele (posh,eh?) takes anything from 30 mins to 2 hours and 20 mins for a complete cycle.

sorry, its Hotpoint not Indesit ( that was my old one )
Its on programme 1, 90% 1200 spin. Thats a boil wash isnt it. I do sometimes do them on 40 or 60 but every so often I like to put them through a really hot wash. Nothing has shrunk, thanks deggers. Everything is cotton
