Fiat 1.3 Multi-jet smoke.
11 Answers
My wife has a Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 Multijet Diesel. On cold start it smokes really quite badly and it continues to smoke until normal running temperature is reached then it stops totally. The smoke is more white than blue and has a very strong diesel smell.
The fuel pressure sensor has been replaced and the jets have been reconditioned.
Has anyone got any ideas as to what the problem could be and what else externally can I try before i give up?
Thanks in advance.

I have had the same and had the injectors replaced. I was told it could be the turbo but also had a new one of those. When eventually going to Fiat they were not phased by this at all and said its just the car starting up. All mechanics I have spoken to said noting to worry about unless it is always white smoke. Did you come to a conclusion?
