My whirly gig has had a tilting moment

I only looked at this to find out what a whirly gig was.

Have you got one of them thingymagigs that goes in the ground then you put the dryer in it?

My pops pours in a bit of concrete around it to avoid tiltage.

You need the spike, alba, but you need to concrete it in. I whacked mine in with a mallet, after a few months it still leaned over. Strong worms in our garden :-)

PS post mix is dead easy to use, you just pour the dry mix into the hole round the spike, then pour in water. No cement-mixer required!

If you go to Robert Dyas or similar you can buy a spike for the drier.

At the moment it is sitting in one. Put the spike where you wish in your garden, put a piece of wood across the top before you hit it with anything let alone your masher, this will prevent you damaging the edges.
