A "mash" hammer, Alba? ............. er ......... the one you use on your potatoes?
Question Author
must be a colloqu, colloqwi, er local term. A baby sledgehammer. :)

I use the real one for my spuds :-p
My rabbits ate my rotary drier :-(
I only looked at this to find out what a whirly gig was.

Have you got one of them thingymagigs that goes in the ground then you put the dryer in it?

My pops pours in a bit of concrete around it to avoid tiltage.
*trying to imagine the giant rabbits eating rotary drier and alba mashing spuds with a sledgehammer*
You need the spike, alba, but you need to concrete it in. I whacked mine in with a mallet, after a few months it still leaned over. Strong worms in our garden :-)

PS post mix is dead easy to use, you just pour the dry mix into the hole round the spike, then pour in water. No cement-mixer required!

OK I used the sledgehammer when I forgot to boil em :)

Will have a look for post mix next week. Thanks Boxy.

You lot do make me giggle. Thanks xxxxxxx
Lol Fluff...I folded it down when we had a BBQ. Left the rabbits outside and when I came back they'd chewed through the lines. Little &^&%*&^%&'s

nearly missed the 'd' at the end of that word. Anyone got a pair of binocs I could borrow please ?
I can't add to the concrete answers which have been given.:-)

Ron..
If you go to Robert Dyas or similar you can buy a spike for the drier.

At the moment it is sitting in one. Put the spike where you wish in your garden, put a piece of wood across the top before you hit it with anything let alone your masher, this will prevent you damaging the edges.
opps only just saw boxtops answer, you don't need to concrete it in, we never have
Question Author
lol Ron, like it.

Cheers Dave, the bit of wood would have to be a real bit of wood and not Mr alba or either of the young albas I s'pose?
Why have I got a mental image of rabbits whirling around drying?
Question Author
it's the lack of gin Craft, it's the lack of gin :-)
Me too.... sort of like a chair o plane at the funfair

You could try bashing some short cut down stakes into the ground beside it to sort of buttress it....
That may be it alba.............wanders off looking for gin.
