How do i work out a percentage wage rise?

Hi I was on £6.50 per hour but as a result of good performance I am going to be on £7.50 how do I calculate the rise as a percentage?

Rise is £1.
£1 as a percentage of original wage £6.50 = 100/6.50= 15.4% (to one decimal place)
£1 as a percentage of original wage £6.50 = 100/6.50= 15.4% (to one decimal place)
