Need to buy plastic chain to enclose an area 45 square metres. How much chain would I need to buy? Must be a minimum width of 6.15 metres wide.
Obviously would need posts as well one for each corner and maybe one or two per side. I have a total mental block when it comes to working out anything like this, should have stayed for double maths instead of skiving.

Quite :)
Though if you went for the minimum width the other sides would have to be 7.32M so yoou'd need
2* 7. 32= 14. 64
plus
2* 6. 15= 12. 3
12. 3+ 14. 64= 26. 94m

Chuck is right - dog show ring that has to be a minimum of 45 sq mt and with a minimum width of 6.15. Area would depend on the layout of the hall/venue but probably rectangular and this is a minimum. We could have shorter lengths and more posts, but just need to know we have enough for the minimum. So if I got about 30 metres that should cover it?
