Volume control

I have a small problem with the output volume setting on my PC.

I have the SoundMAX Digital Audio control.

Problem is that the slider control for the 'Wave' option gradually reduces on its own. This seems to be the one that is controlling the output volume from my system.

Obviously now I know about it I can check regularly and reset it but I would like it to stop doing this.

Any ideas?
