Huzzah - just a little while ago, the Olympic torch went right past where I live http://i48.tinypic.com/midgsy.jpg - isn't that exciting! (and no, I have no idea who he is)

I don`t think we`re getting the torch this way but I went past Hampton Court Palace today and there are lots of structures going up for the cycle race. A bridge (although that might have been there since the flower show) a covered, tierd seating area and a large parking area. They`ve even flattened the roundabout and build a better one. I`ll miss the whole thing as I`m working but it would have been nice to have gone along for a nosey.
We saw it when it came through Torbay. Where we stood there were several people, but not many, however in Torquay, a friend couldn't see anything as the crown surged forward to see the changeover. I think most people gather where the changeovers take place, so if you want to have a good view, don't stand there.
