power cuts

Hi All,
I know its friday night and you are all having a party with Her ladyship, but this is important. Power cuts is the problem. I get one a week, and more if it rains or the wind blows, I am not up a mountain or in a very rural area, and normally i don't mind re=setting the video, the cooker, the alarm clock, spending 30 minutes trying to get the computer to work, it says" do you want to start in safe mode?" Do I?? I just want to get back to you tube watching the diamonds singing "little darling". is that too much to ask? Do you think i can get compensation for all the time wasted every week setting all the stuff again, and the inconvenience it all causes? I pay £75 month direct debit for my electric, so can I expect some sort of proper service?
Going back to youtube now to re-live my past with the diamonds, who, I must admit until tonight, I thought were a black group ( I also thought that frankie valley and the four seasons were a black group) as were all the best groups in the 50's.

all the neighbours get it. we had another this afternoon in torrential rain, only tripped for a few seconds this time, but it shut the computer and was a nightmare to get it back, it wanted to start in safe mode, and also had to set the clocks etc again. I think I will write a letter of complaint to my supplier, but I doubt if they will resolve the problem, but they may offer some free credit or something. as my old boss would say "we live in hope and die in despair"
Percy.

Perce, you're probably at the end of the line with your supply. If it goes down, there's nowhere else it can come from.
I wonder if it might be worth investing in a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).
