Visitor's Survey

I noticed that on a recent thread I posted a particular word (in this case the word pregnancy) which was coloured blue and underlined, I press on this word and a page entitled 'Visitor's Survey' popped up.

Is this new feature now being introduced by AnswerBank?

I am running Vista and my browser is Firefox 14.0.1

My add-ons are,

British English Dictionary1.19.1

Google Shortcuts 2.1.7.1

MyAshampoo 3.14.1.0

Community Toolbar 3.14.1.0

Yontoo 1.20.00

I entered his on the Editors Blog and although I received some grateful answers I am afraid, none of them worked.

To be completely clear: No.

I suggest uninstalling the following add-ons:

Google Shortcuts 2.1.7.1

MyAshampoo 3.14.1.0

Community Toolbar 3.14.1.0

Yontoo 1.20.00

If you really don't want to remove the add-ons just disable them, there's only 4!

If that stops it happening then re-enable them one by one and see which is causing the links.

Vista isn't *too* bad as long as it's fully updated, face it, windows 7 was essentially Vista SP2 in all but name.

I have disabled all my add-on with no success.

I notice that these underlined words are only on certain sections, although there are similar Surveys and adverts along with all the other AnsweBank adverts on the R/H side of the screen, so I still maintain that they are all part of these.

A quick Google for Yontoo reveals it to be malware, and in fact, when I tried to open the Yontoo web site, ESET Smart Security stepped in and prevented it opening.

But you can probably get rid of it by means of good old MalwareBytes (which you probably already have).

The question has to be asked - "Why on earth did you install it in the first place?"

If it's on the right hand part of the screen where adverts usually are - then it's possible it was just an advert.

Sorry I am late in getting back to, thanks anyway for that information on Yontoo, I have no idea where it came from because I didn't install it and no one else has access to my laptop, but I will give it a MalwareByte clear out as you suggest, thanks again.
