Feeling ill

Im up at 06:00- start at 07:00 and working till 20:00 :0(

I feel like iv been run over by a bus! Barley slept at all!

Cant stop sneezing and my throat is on fire & seriously itchy!! As are my ears, runny nose & sore head...

For a week ive been really sneezy and itchy espesh morning & night....ive actually went through 10 benadryl since friday :0/ (and added brufen)

Ive mentioned to doc before about things being worse in morning- says its cos i have large tonsils...

Think this is a cold? Im feeling my chest tight too. Cant belive im working soon i honestly feel pants - urgh!! Working for the next 3 days too!

I dont think its an allergy

Ps: what er...comes out when i blow my nose is clear sometimes and greeney sometimes. Blood yesterday probs cos ive blown so much!! Sometimes i sneeze before i can get a hanky and it goes everywhere!!! (sorry i know thats minging)

My face is actually sore from wiping. My eyes are gritty too sometimes i cant get my lenses in.

Not changed any washing powder or been around anything new! I wash my hands alot so not alot of dust etc- place is clean.

The benadryl is fast acting and usually works ok - Acravastatin x

my lord - you are in a state. it sound very much to me like you are allergic to something but, if you say you are not - then i don't know.

Allergies is what i thought excels but i seriously havent changed a thing! Not one thing.

The eyes come & go - but this stupid throats waking me up and i sleep badly as it is! Im really going to struggle today .....may aswel stay up now probobly! :0(

Im sure i should have had my adeniods out as a kid but didnt and my tonsils literally touch at the back sometimes ...not sure if that makes a difference xx

I usually know when its that ive had it soo many times.. Im usually shivering or hallucinating!!!

Im sure adeniods disappear as you get older-but just shows ive had longstanding throat problems.... And terrible hayfever. I feel shattered and my heads busting xx

If i just dont show its hard to get a replacement...id feel so so bad....if i even went in till they could get covet or at least do a good whack of work id feel better...just having tea & toast...hoping i square up. Its worse cos this is 1 of 3 shifts xx

Maybe go in and aim to be sent home. They won't want you working if you're ill.

I know...even if i made it to lunchtime i could get my drugs done and writing up/ paperwork and leave it all organized and maby give them time to get a replacement...mabye my doc would squeeze me in or dare i say give me a wee prescription over phone and i could come home warm up sleep it off and be fine tomorrow...in an ideal world xxx

I'd stick with paperwork if I were you.

I don't know what the boys will be like. They are rarely ill and that's why I'm missing the sympathy gene. I bet I have a paper round to do!!

Eldest only has one lesson today (A levels) so he'll probably stay home. Youngest, who is the poorliest (sp), had 100% attendance last year. He wants to keep that record....he'll go in, no matter how he feels. He doesn't have a paper round though!!

My normally illness proof sons have had this plus a pretty nasty temperature , good news being that it seems to be a 3-4 day thing once the temperature turns up and not proper flu- they looked seriously quite ill enough for it to be proper flu. Sorry you feel so awful though Tinks:(

Almost certainly a viral problem.

Take Ibuprofen 400mgms as an when necessary up to every 4 hours if necessary and take time off work.

This should settle by the weekend.

Thanks all. Ive cancelled the shifts i can and trying to get cover. I just cant leave them with no nurse its too busy
