Freeview Programme guide query

Is anyone else having problems with their Freeview guide as I am?

I have a Humax PVR, a few years old now but still just as reliable as it ever was. However I have recently noticed that the EPG is not working as it used to. There was a time when I got the full seven days on all channels, but now some are just for a day or so only and with most, details beyond three days are missing.

I have tried retuning a few times (complete auto retune) but it remains the same. Is it Freeview or is my PVR on it's last legs?

I have Freeview and I'm having no problems Postdog.

I have a free-view box that often says 'no information available' when looking beyond todays schedule, sometime takes a few minutes to update sometimes not at all, I've noticed though it depends on which channel I'm using when looking at it... I'm guessing signal strength of the channel.

The guide probably needs updating. I have just done it on my Humax recorder. A box came up asking if I wanted to update the guide which I did, but if you have recordings preset, you will have to re programme if you update. Hope this helps.

A few weeks ago it said retune to update the guide as changes were going to be made. I did so when suggested and it has been crap since then. I also retuned the other day and it is just the same. It has always took an hour or so for the guide to fully load when turned on, but I just tend to leave it on all the time but still it doesn't go beyond a few days.

I retuned recently and, though I live in Lancashire, the ITV, C4 and FIVE channels were coming from Wales. So I had to retune 9 channels manually. Perhaps yours are tuned into a nearby region.

Apparently I cannot receive digital channels. Funny when Im watch some of them most days.

theres is a national retune on the 17th oct ive just been informed from humax
