aerial boost

i want to boost my tv aerial signal. i think there are a lot of devices on the market that claim to do this but many are rubbish. what i am looking for is a professional standard amplifier. can anone reommend one?

If your aerial is receiving a poor signal to start with, boosting it won't help. You need to change the aerial for your location.

No expert but I'm unconvinced about amps that increase signal size near the TV. Were I you I'd look out for what you can mount near the aerial since it can't be any less use than the ones I've tried.
