IBM thinkpad T30 - wireless enabling

My IBM T30 has wireless capability built in. I know this because I have been using it until my router recently failed. I have now received a new router from my service provider. I can use it to connect to the internet via ethernet cable but I can not get the connection wirelessly. The T30 will not find any available networks. This model of laptop does not appear to have any form of switch or button to enable wireless connection. As it was working perfectly well with the old router I would have thought that the T30 is already enabled. Can anyone suggest a fix please?

So would I - have you checked that the wireless on your new router is configured and enabled?
