did you ever have a little autograph book?

I did, a small, leather bound one, with coloured pages. I was about ten, and all my old aunties and uncles spent boxing day writing things in.
My daughter brought me a little book today, and asked me to write something.
i could remember some of the little rhymes and wondered if anyone knew any more. Some samples to follow...

These are some from a VERY old autograph book!:
"May you remain unchanged in all except your name"
"By gum it's stuck" - next to it an old stamp of george Vl
"Hear all, see all, say nowt. Eat all, sup all, pay nowt. And if tha does owt for nowt, always do it for the sel!"
"The devil sent the wind to blow the ladies' clothes up high. But God was just and sent the dust to blind the bad man's eye!"
"If your face wants to smile, let it. if it doesn't , make it!"

Funny you should mention this crisgal, my son went to his first football match last week and wanted a pad to get some autographs.
When I told him about the ones we had when we were kids and aunties and uncles used to sign he thought I was joking
And the one you said about if all the boys lived over the sea, I remember an aunt writing that in my sisters book.
lol, blast from the past
