Is it necessary to have some kind of aerial in order to watch Freeview? I will be without TV for a couple of weeks until Virgin comes to fix up stuff and I wondered if I could watch Freeview while I was waiting. Someone told me you have to have an aerial.

A decent Freeview TV picture needs a decent aerial – but you can't always use one on a rooftop. An indoor aerial can be a cheap and effective alternative – if you know which one to buy and how to use it properly.

Search amazon/eBay for a cheap one, you should be able to buy a decent areial for under £20, just to tide you over until Virgin comes online.

Thanks boxtops for the answer and the link. Plenty of choice there and not too expensive. It will only be for a couple of weeks (I hope) so I don't want to spend too much. But then, I might be able to resell it on eBay!!
