Leak
7 Answers
We have a leak tonight - water dripping from the ceiling in the kitchen, it is in a kitchen cupboard that holds the boiler for the hot water, all the electrical wires are near the outside wall, and its the other side of the cupboard (not near the outside wall) where the leak is dripping from. Really not sure what to do, must have been leaking for a while, cos the cupboard wont close (cos wood has swollen but I didnt realise).
What do I do - who should I get to look at it - plumber, electrician, roofer perhaps - could it be to do with the rain ? Help !! Had guttering recently done - so that should be OK. Help !! We live in a bungalow - with small dormer bedroom in roof space.

I could see that it was something to do with water but I wasn`t sure where to start. I figured I should start with a plumber and I was correct. If I were you, I would start with a plumber. As it`s dripping in your boiler cupboard, I would get a Gas Safe plumber to have a look at it. It might not be anything to do with the plumbing but at least that`s a good place to start and then you can work on a process of elimination.
