Any thoughts what could be wrong?

My 50ish year old cousin is staying with us for a few days.
She is sleeping a LOT. She went to bed at 11pm last night, slept right through till 11 am, got up and had breakfast; back to bed at 12.30 and up at 3.30.
She insists she doesn't feel ill, just has a real need for sleep. Apparently it has been going on for a few weeks.
She also cannot control her body temperature - she is too hot one minute and needs to go outside to cool down; later she is very cold and needs the heating on.
She has other vague, slight symptoms - dull headache at the top of her head; slight dizziness when she turns over in bed; tingling in hands.
Oh, and boils in her groin.
This is not connected to the menopause, by the way.
This is just so unlike her. Anyone have any suggestions?
