I know I'm not kempie but On my keyboard it's shift + 6 i.e. ^

2^2 = two squared (or two to the power of two) = 4

Hope this helps

Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools and (finally!) Character Map.

In there, if you find the "squared" symbol, the bottom right of that new window should tell you that to produce it you hold in the Alt key and type 0178

Sorry, just realised that I hadn't read your previous question! Can you find the square root sign via the character map? Also, you can make figures superscript so you can show x to the power of y by pressing control, shift and the += key together - this works when you're using Word, although I don't know if the same applies when you're using AnswerBank. I would guess not.

doesn't have an Alt keycode so you need to copy/paste direct from Character Map (it's near the end of the list).
