Security And Sharp Objects At Airports

All who travel by air now are well aware (or should be) of the ban on liquids and sharp objects in hand luggage. But on a recent trip from our local airport, sitting in the bar restaurant area I spotted a pile of self collect clean knifes and forks. Also we had ordered a bottle of wine as it worked out cheaper than buying separate glasses. What would stop me taking these on board, or using the empty broken glass bottle, and using that as a weapon?
