It seems really hard to move photos off my iPad.

I can't connect it to a separate hard drive.

I can connect it to a lappy but, for some reason, if I go into the iPad through My Computer on the lappy, the photos appear in several different, apparently random, folders, and I can't see all of them.

Why do Apple have to make things so complicated?

On the subject of which ... if I manage my iTunes on the iPad, I can't put them on to my iPod to go running, coz you can't connect an iPod to an iPad !!

Just how stupid are the idiots who design Apple products???

If you have a laptop that should be from where you manage your iTunes Library. When you connect your iPod or iPad to your laptop, everything will be synced to your main library. Any new purchases of music transfer to your main library and from there playlists can be moved to any device.

Your photos should do the same if you connect to to laptop. Alternatively use email to send them to where you want them to go, or a storage facility like DropBox, iCloud or Wuala.

If you want to run your iPad independent of your laptop you really need to pay for iCloud.

ICloud?

Apple's personal market research facility?

I'm not gonna pay for that.
iCloud is just for storage.

iTunes is Apple's Market research facility.
