Hotpoint Shower Element Gone??? Are They Universal?
2 Answers
We have a Hotpoint Aquarius shower. Today one of the lights didn't come on when we switched the power on and the water remained cold. I'm assuming it is the element. It seems Hotpoint don't make showers any more. Would a shower element be a fairly universal thing? Or do we have to replace the whole shower?

Most manufacturers will have their own range of showers and when it goes wrong you replace the whole unit.
I stick with Gainsborough, they sell a ''replacement engine''. If there are any faults I just fit a new engine unit ( £45.00) in the existing shower....I keep a spare one on the shelf at home. They normally last about 2 years.
