Sorry ... with pictures of items I am SELLING that should say !
First things first, check your listings to see if a bike is there. It's possible that you've been hacked.
Change your password too, to be on the safe side.

Ebay (at least I think it's them) have emailed me to say my account has been hacked and someone has listed items on it. I have tried to access my ebay account and it says they have restricted access for security reasons - and give a link to change my password ... which doesn't work!! NOW what do it do??
Try ringing them. The number is 0845 355 3229.

You'll need a 7-digit passcode, though. Do you know somebody else who has an account and could find it for you? You go to customer support, then find Contact Us and it will give you the option to call them.

I've had to do this on a couple of occasions and the people are so helpful.

Good luck with it.
I agree with seajaypee - give them a ring, they will be as keen as you are get this sorted out.
DO NOT FOLLOW THE LINK!

why would ebay email you to say that? how would they know you hadnt listed them?

log in completely separately as you always do, and check your account

this may be a scam - the link takes you to a fake ebay page and gets you to input all your passwords, security answers, maybe for paypal too.

go to ebay independantly and see if you have anything listed.

Joko - the email said they has suspended my account to protect me. And when I logged on this is true. A USA number comes up to call - and I am not calling America from my mobile. So have emailed them to ask them to sort it. Ridiculous. How coud anyone guess my password and the questions about this "bike I had listed" (?) had photos of items I have got listed attached to them!!! So confused. Starting to distrust it all tbh!
The USA numbers could very well be one of those that charge your phone account heaps of money for calling it, just like those donation ph.nos.
please listen to what i am saying

the email is NOT from ebay - it is probably fake - they are linking you to a fake ebay site.

it is a known scam often used with banks - telling people their account is closed etc and to log in using this link - all FAKE

the idea is to worry you so you frantically start trying to log in and put in your security answers... it didn work because it wasnt real - but you have now inputted your passwords etc into their fake site - so they can now have access to your real site- including your paypal.

type ebay.co.uk into the search bar and log into your account fresh from that - then change all passwords associated with that and paypal

then contact ebay through a link on the REAL site, not anything they have sent you and tell them what has happened
I agree with Joko.

You must check via goto http://www.ebay.co.uk and http://www.paypal.co.uk

But, the other problem now maybe that if the account has been hacked the password may have also been changed by the hackers.! If that is the case, best to try using the 'Forgot password' route, and hope that the main / alternate email contact addresses used for password change confirmation have not been changed by a potential hacker.

Sounds like someone is trying to get info out of you with a view to hacking your accounts etc. Tell them nothing. I had a similar bout of emails saying my account was suspended etc. I didn't reply to them. I went to the genuine ebay and contacted them showing the emails. They said it's a scam and if they were to email me they would start any messages by using my real name, not dear sir or dear ebay user. It's an indication that the scammers don't know who you are. Do not as previously suggested click on any links within these email messages. I was also under the impression ebay is european based so why an american number?. Go to the ebay you normally use and contact them for advice. best of luck.
I agree with dagman - ring the UK eBay number you'll find in the contact us section when you log into eBay. The US site is separate, dagman, as I understand it. Seek advice from eBay about your account being hacked http://ocs.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ContactCS
