British Gas have said that no form of covering up a flue is allowed, and it must be easy to inspect all flue joints during a service call.
On both occasions the boxing in had been done in the past by Corgi registered people, and at the time this met the standards required.
But it now seems that current legislation means ... no covering up your flue pipes.
I was only asked to remove the boxing in and make good ... I'm not a gas safe fitter.
