I've been to the pub and had a couple of drinks. I've had a bowl of spag bol, or to be precise ling rag.

I now want to curl up and have a snooze.

I'm hoping to find something suitably intriguing on the TV to keep me awake, if I snooze now I wont sleep later!

Hope you've all enjoyed the lovely Spring day!

I'm sure my Husband would be overwhelmed by your offer Excel!
oops!
I've got a leg of lamb in the oven and I'm on the verge of popping open the Martini Prosecco which I picked up half price in Morrisons.

Your day sounds very enjoyable, Eccles :-)
sounds delicious, NoM
Eccles, you asked for that.

A Sunday afternoon snooze..............oh yes?
Question Author

Tilly..asked for what?
I'm still a bit full of lunch (a completely random outing for fish/chips/mushy peas and a pint of Ubu) ...

... but after a cuppa and a brief nap I think I might just manage a small salmon and cucumber sandwich (with the crusts cut off) and possibly a fairy cake or two?
For excelsior's remark eccles (what tilly said).
I pottered about in the garden for an hour but it needs such a lot to be done I got a bit discouraged. Lovely day though and about time too.
That brings back memories: cucumber sandwiches. We must have been poor:)
With the crusts cut off posh git lol.

Ooh a Sunday tea of salmon sandwiches. I have some salmon in the fridge it is almost certainly rank as it is in the 'beer' fridge and completely forgotten about. I might have to dispose of it on bin day.

Mmm, perhaps a little snooze with an alarm call is the answer.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
No cutting off crusts for us, and no finicky triangular pieces either.
Have a power nap, eccles. Set the alarm for twenty minutes. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, ping!

Star, if you have correctly interpreted Tilly's remark then you are both as bad as each other.

I do not see how I was inviting the company of others!
