I cannot find any where on-line that can sell me an induction hob compatible egg poaching pan. Any info would be most welcome, thank you, charlie (dontknow doi)
It's always irked me that this cooking method for eggs is called poaching. By definition, poaching is a technique where food is cooked in a liquid, e.g. smoked haddock in milk, and eggs in water. Using this kind of "poaching pan" equates to the cookery method called "coddling". It's a different kettle of fish, (or a horse of a different colour?)
Since I discovered just by putting a splash of white vinegar in boiling water you get perfect poached eggs, I've stopped using poaching pans. Try it, save yourself some money. The eggs have to be fresh though
