Apart from the button you can press on the top, anyone have any ideas as to why my fan won't go around? Don't know where to start to try and fix it, thanks.

Is the socket it's plugged into OK? Does the fan need a new fuse?
do you mean the fan itself isn't going round ie not working at all, or it's not oscillating?

The fan is blowing air but the head bit is not swivelling to cover the room.
ours has two buttons, on for on/off and one for swivel - you sure there isn't another one somewhere you've accidentally knocked?
Assuming it is a mechanical pull/push knob :

Turn fan off then pull knob out as far as possible. Turn fan on and push knob *very* firmly all the way in whilst the fan is running. It may graunch a bit as it engages. There is a gear assembly inside and it has probably got worn/loose.
The oscillation is usually the first thing to wear out on a fan in my experience.
In addition to the on/off switch, mine has a knob which needs to be screwed out to start it oscillating. I've also seen similar where the knob needs to be screwed in to start the oscillations.

Sorry, been out. Have ordered some extra fans (none to be found around here) and will use the 'static' one somewhere else. Thanks for your answers though.
