Can Only Get Bbc On Tv

Our tv is pretty old (15 years plus) but has been working fine...until yesterday. Now can only get BBC1 & 2 - no itv/ Ch4/ch5. Digibox appears to be working as can get all digital channels, except itv+1, ch4+1. Any ideas please?

Where are you and what transmitter are you receiving from? There's engineering work affect several main transmitters including Emley Moor and Belmont intermittently at the moment. Try retuning, but you may have to do it more than once.

Thanks for both answers. Will try retuning and see what happens. We are in west Kent so our nearest transmitter is Tunbridge Wells - haven't heard of any local problems and neighbours' tvs aren't affected, but it could just be ours,

It won't be the fault of the TV.

Definitely try a retune of the digibox.

If no luck, chase that fat pigeon off the aerial.

Assuming you are watching via the digibox as far as your TV is concerned it is only watching 1 channel. That channels content is provided by your digibox but you say your digibox is working fine.

Are you watching old school channels (non-digital) and maybe your transmitter has been turned off?

Could be that there was problems with the signal. Transmitters do get problems occassionally and if so your retune may find a weaker signal from a diffrrent direction. But if so you can always try again later. Nothing wrong with your aerial or connections are there ? Nothing high built nearby, or a tree that needs trimming ?
