Thank you New judge for those answers. No. 23 I've worked out be Brockley (a London Overground station, but included in the Underground map) thanks to Emeritus's clues and bibblebub has suggested Perivale for number 7, which seem a possible answer to me!

Yes Perivale is certainly correct (a “peri” is a pixie or elf-like creature). Brockley is the only answer to fit the bill for the other one but I am becoming increasingly concerned that Overground and DLR stations are now being seen as part of the London Underground. They do appear on the Underground map but are not part of that network. I think puzzle compilers need to be fair !!

Thanks for your help, bibblebub and New judge. I was just in the process of looking up peri (as I know vale = dell) when I saw the your answer bibblebub and new judge, the current underground map, DFL's "Tube Map" does include overground lines as well as the DLR and Emirates Air Line so I think some setters include this in their quizzes without necessarily thinking that they are not technically underground lines ...!
