Slimline Digital Camera

I would like to purchase a digital camera (preferably slimline) with the following features:-

1.lightweight and small (fits in pocket)
2.crystal clear photos
3.simple to operate
4.less than £170
5.good battery life
6.made by well-known firm e.g. Canon/Panasonic

Any suggestions please?

How about this one - I have one of these and am very pleased with it.
Samsung WB200FBPW ( 16.4 MP,18 x Optical Zoom,3 -inch LCD ). If you google the model etc you will find some excellent deals.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will weigh them up and decide on the least complicated. Handling my old camera I have just dropped it in my coffee mug!

I've got one of these and I'm really impressed with it:

However I certainly didn't pay that price for it! Although it's not shown as available directly from Tesco online, it's in most of their stores at £99.00 (or it was a month ago, when I was last looking at cameras).

While the description of the camera might make it seem rather complex, it's incredibly easy to use because all of the functions are explained on the screen. (i.e. there's no need to carry a manual around with you because it's effectively built into the camera). It's also got a fantastic zoom lens (24x) for such a really small camera.
