Are the numbers on your new card not the same as on the old one?

Could they just have processed your payment without the new security code on the back - I know that does change with every new card.

Either that or witchcraft.
did you pay with paypal or a similar online payment service that maybe you have already used?
My new debit card had the same account number as the old one, it was only the numbers across the front which changed.
Have you switched banks recently or have you a new debit card from your existing bank?
If it's just a new card because the old one ran out then they can use the old info to make a collection, the AA did it to me last year, I kicked up blue bloody murder with them and my bank. Watch out for anything that might be hooked up to continuous payments like insurance etc and tell them to stop if you don't want it.

I got a new card and the number along the front is new but i didnt tell them!
Witchcraft then.

(Speak to your bank, they should be able to help.)
...but I bet the bank details across the bottom of the card are the same....
Continuous payments can still be taken from the account, even if the card number across the middle has been updated. However, how they knew the new number is a mystery to me.
They did that to me. Instead of just using your card details, they've linked straight to your account. I had a new card and went with macaffee. Apparently some companies do this, but it is illegal. As soon as i mentioned that to Norton, i got an immediate refund.
Beside the point but , why the hell are you paying for Norton or McAfee when you can have MSE which is just as good if not better for nothing?
happened to me as well breadstick, i'm happy to stay with norton...... but i'm watching this thread with interest
Never heard of it, Eddie!
'Microsoft Security Essentials' just Google it and you will be able to go to a free download. You need to totally uninstall Norton first or they will 'fight' each other. MSE is actually made by Microsoft so it is designed for their systems, I have had it for 3 years now ever since the free Norton that came with the computer ran out.
I will have a look. Thank you. I think I've zapped Norton already, but will check.
Norton are excellent..............they've also just taken money from my new card.
...still illegal. According to my bank, anyway.
Well I'm happy they are still looking after me........
Pixie, not according to my bank, (that was last January).
I unchecked the box that said renew automatically, they always remind you to renew so not a problem. I'm one for not leaving my details online I prefer to fill in each time then this shouldn't happen, better safe than sorry.
