Based upon a 70 light string consuming 4 watts (which is quoted on Wikipedia and seems to be largely supported elsewhere), each LED uses 4/70W = 0.05714 W. So, over an hour, each LED uses 0.00005714 kWh. If (taking the figures from a recent electricity bill) we assume that electricity is charged at 12.744p per kWh (+ 5% VAT) that makes the cost of running 1 LED =...

I'm probably spending more replying to you than you will expend on a single bulb......
....they're not bulbs, they are light-emitting diodes and use hardly any power at all. Probably a few pence for the whole Christmas period, if that!
....and that's the whole set of hundreds of them, btw.
I know they are not 'bulbs' but I couldn't be arsed splitting the difference :-)
