Zips

Is there a fool-proof way of lubricating zips on clothing, such as jackets and coats ? I have tried using a candle and vaseline, but they both leave greasy marks.

Just an ordinary lead pencil gness ? Not a childs crayon for instance ?

A nice soft B pencil, mikey - the graphite is the lubricant.

Graphite can leave grey marks as well though so go easy

Mr Sheene, I use this on Suitcases & the likes that have sticky areas.

try this : spray polish on a cotton bud and then rub it up and down the zip.
