For Xmas, I treated myself to a Seiko Solar Divers watch. It should never need charging, unless I leave it in a drawer for a few weeks. No battery and its waterproof down to 200m, so it should be trouble free for many years !
I used to have a Rolex Explorer 2, which I bought 10 years ago. But it had to go in January 2012, to pay for a new gearbox for my car ! That was an automatic watch but had I hung onto it, it would have needed a Rolex service, which would have cost more than the Seiko, which was £168 !
I miss that Rolex though, I really do !
