soon in order to see a guy about some watches. He said to me yesterday: "Hey, stewey; I hear that you're interested in clocks and watches, so I'll bring some watches in on Friday." So I said OK to that. Watch the watches be a load of quartz junkers:) Anyway, you never know what you might find! I realize this isn't very interesting; However, it's quite quiet on here, so I though I'd make a noise...Cheers.

Maizie, junkers are, well...junk. I know the guy, Ann; he's not into that stuff.
Of course it was, stewey. Sibs is always accurate.
ding dong! you may be able to make a profit there boy !

watch you dont buy a dog instead -easy to tell even in the dark - it howls instead of chimes...
Stewey, Mr Tilly found a Rolex watch once when he took the dogs for a walk. We took it to the Police station and they told us it was a fake because the second had was not a continuous movement, it jumped from second to second instead of just going round. He still wears it.

On the right side of my screen there are now ads for cuckoo clocks...They sure do follow you around! (The ad people that is.)
Question Author
Tilly some watches do have a continuous sweep second hand, and others have the "jumping" one. I really don't know about the Rolex...something to look up when I get home.
Question Author
Tilly, I just did a quick check, and it seems that Rolex had models (quartz obviously) with continuous sweep second hands and other models with incremental sweep second hands.
another way to spot a fake Rolex is if it has a date window, the number should fill the lens on a genuine watch.
>>>He still wears it

Hopefully not when travelling abroad as, in many countries (including the UK), it's a serious criminal offence to try to enter the country while in possession of counterfeit goods!
If he gets caught, will he do "time"?
