Braun Gas Hair Styler

My wife has dug out her old Braun gas fuelled styling brush/tongs.
Can it be filled with ordinary butane lighter gas as the Braun refills are now discontinued

Have a look in Wilkinsons for these - Better check before buying, but I'm told they fit the Braun tongs ...

If it uses refills then there won't be a reservoir to fill, hc4361.

There is a reservoir to fill, douglas, but Braun call the gas canisters they sell to fill it 'refills'. It doesn't use a cartridge.
