^^ maybe I should've said would it be safe for bathroom use?
Assuming that it's switched via a pull cord it's perfectly safe.
If any part falls within zone 2..i.e. 2.25m from the floor..it will not comply...outside that zone.... I would still fail it on a EICR under the heading...is all installed equipment suitable for the environment.
Is it 30Ma RCD protected?
If a lamp shatters due to condensation or splashing not only will you be in the dark but you will need to get out of the bath/shower and walk on broken glass.

Its not good is it?
I wouldn't put it in my bathroom, it looks more like a living room fitting. My bathroom ceilings are tall and out of the 'zones' for proper bathroom fittings but I still only use them rather than standard ones on the advice of an electrician.

Prevention is better than cure!

Hi Anne.... Things not too bad at the mo. I had a dreadful Mothers Day, I don't know why it happened and neither does he. He said some awful things to me that I can't get out of my head, I don't feel as though I can trust him now and every little thing that happens I'm thinking the worst. It's such a shame coz he's such a caring soul normally - thank you for thinking of me it means so much xxx
masma..................I think enough is enough, im sorry to say this to you , anne.
