What Happened To All The Port Questions?

Just looked in the Football section and there are just 19 questions there. I tried searching for a thread I remembered from about January, and it is not there. The oldest football question is from March.

Have you lost a load of data? Did you close the section and start again? Where did the questions go?

What was the question about that you wanted?
I'm not sure what's happened to questions from before 2012 though- maybe Football wasn't a separate subtopic before then

The default view when you click on 'Sport' is to show the 'Most Recent' tab. That view only shows posts from the last month (of which there are currently just 18).

Click on 'Answered' (or 'Unanswered') to see earlier threads, going back to the start of the current 'Football' subsection.

Thanks Fiction Factor for you help. You explained it well on the above thread.

I did not know the list of questions only displayed one months worth of questions. In the case of the football, that was just 18 questions, not even a full rack. It may be that I usually go in more popular sections that have hundreds of questions a month and the 1 month only rule has been in operation for years. But I have only just become aware of it.

Now that I am aware of it, it is not a problem.

I must admit that I've never noticed it before now but I'm not known for being observant anyway!

It's certainly been there for quite some time. I asked about it well over a year ago.

Yes, the limit is nothing new - one of the very-low-use sub-sections I inhabit is occasionally totally blank as a result.
