Still Cannot Retain Passwords - Tried Everything. Urgent Please!
5 Answers
I am using Windows 7 with IE11 and until the other day I was able to retain passwords on my most used sites - but now every time I go into the sites it asks me to sign in!
I have been told to go into tools - internet options - privacy - set to medium (have always had it on this setting) - automatically enable cookies - apply ok.This does not alter my situation.
The only thing I have done different recently was to do a defrag on my laptop.
This is really annoying me now. Also before I used to get a message at the bottom of my screen saying something like 'do you wish to save this password in IE' That no longer appears either.
What have I done?
Thanks

Thanks buenchico. I seem to have got them back - for how long I don't know!
Have always used IE (it's an age thing!). Did try Firefox once but seemed hard to fathom. Always use i google until they pulled the plug. Having said that since being unable to use O.Express I have used Thunderbird (same stable as Firefox?) and it is magic as I can see immediately my emails from Google Web Mail.
Thanks again

Hi moggie....I 'll ignore your comment, "Have always used IE (it's an age thing!)." It's quite likely I am a lot older than you and choose to use Firefox which, like Buenchico, I think is a far better browser than Internet Explorer which doesn't allow you to see what passwords are being retained on your behalf.
