I've got an Epson All-in-One SX235W printer. The printer itself works fine, but when I try to use Epson Scan I get the dialog box, saying "Cannot communicate with the scanner". The printer will copy documents OK, but having tried all help and google-speak the scanner still refuses to co-operate.
Am I missing something simple, or is it me that's simple.?
The scanner has worked perfectly in the past, and nothing has been changed by me (as far as I am aware)
Thanks
If I load the document in to the scanner, then open the printer on my PC I can scan from there. But for reasons unknown, I can't just press "scan" on the printer.
No idea why, but at least I can get things scanned this way.
There's probably no point talking to Epson support if you haven't updated your driver - the first question they will ask is "Have you updated .....................". If two of you are affected it makes me wonder if a Microsoft update has upset the driver in some way. If updating the driver doesn't work it might be worth trying rolling-back to an earlier restore point.
