Microscope - Picture Shows 5 Images ...??
4 Answers
i recently bought a usb microscope off ebay.
it was only a cheap one = about £14 but its not bad quality, it seems to be decent enough for someone like me, quite a decent build quality.
however the picture onscreen is showing 5 images - like 5 indentical slices, splitscreen.
i cannot seem to make it show one pic - i dont know if this is a fault or a setting
i have spoken to the seller about returning it etc, but wanted to double check in case its just a setting i need to alter
i asked them and they couldnt help, they just sell them
the instructions are english but not that helpful really
this is it - http:// cgi.eba y.co.uk /ws/eBa yISAPI. dll?Vie wItem&a mp;item =251515 583708
any ideas?
thanks

Thanks vulcan, but how do you mean?
The image it is showing is five vertical strips with the same identical sliver of the image repeated in each.
each strip is about 2cm wide.
it also seems to have a lot of tiny lines across it too.
all that happens when i adjust the magnification is it gets more blurry
i have just managed to use the device in a normal webcam programme, and the image was perfect, crystal clear - so the lens is not broken.
except is would only magnify a small amount - just very close up of skin pores etc
with this device i am supposed to be able to go down to a micro level.
i have tried to find the software online and upgrade or something, but no luck.
i just cannot find a setting, i have clicked on everything

I have found this on line, the magnification switch is just in front of the focus roller, I would imagine it has to be refocused after the magnification switch has been adjusted.

thanks vulcan but i think you misunderstand what i am asking
the image onscreen is showing 5 times in one image - no amount of pressing buttons etc is changing it - i have pressed everything over and over on the item and on the software
picture this - i set the viewfinder of my ordinary camera so it measures 7cm high and 2cm across - so it is tall and thin image.
then i repeat that image, side by side 5 times = that is what i am seeing
the magnification just makes the 5 views zoom in and out
