Black marks on laundry

I have a problem with black marks on my laundry when it comes out of the washine machine. I recently changed to an AEG machine thinking the problem was with my  Zanussi, but the problem persists. The engineer can find no fault with the new machine. Can anyone help?

 The only thing i can suggest is to change your washing powder.

Do you clean out the soap powder drawer regularly?  (And the 'roof' of the drawer) They get awfully gungy & black!

i also have the same problem.  we are in a rental and are using a zanussi aquacycle 1050 washer, but I had the feeling the marks are coming from the dryer - do you use a dryer ???

Are they small little black marks, sort of like smudges/lines ?  Do you know what they are from yet ?

Have just read that black marks on laundry are often caused by using liquid fabric softener at full strength - it should be diluted  !  We shall see....
